The Paint Box recognised as one of the UK's most impressive firms !

SmallBiz100

Exciting news! We’ve been chosen as one of the nation’s top 100 small businesses by the Small Business Saturday UK campaign as it enters its second decade in the UK.

Following a thorough search across the country, The Paint Box has made it into this year’s SmallBiz100 lineup! This initiative showcases 100 of the most inspiring independent businesses nationwide.

In the midst of celebrating our 13th birthday, expanding to larger premises, and now being selected for SmallBiz100, it’s truly been an extraordinary year for The Paint Box. The team and I are thrilled to be part of this prestigious list of businesses.

Small Business Saturday is set to return on December 2, 2023, with a mission to support and celebrate the UK’s 5.5 million small businesses. Given the challenges faced by small firms amidst the cost-of-living crisis, this campaign is more crucial than ever.

Keep an eye out for our feature by the campaign on October 10, 2023, as part of the 100-day countdown to Small Business Saturday UK.

“It’s fantastic to celebrate The Paint Box as part of this year’s campaign,” said Michelle Ovens CBE, Director of Small Business Saturday UK. “The impressive small businesses featured in this year’s SmallBiz100 sum up the phenomenal contribution that small firms make to our economy and local communities.”

What is Small Business Saturday?

Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign that celebrates small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support businesses in their communities. Originating from American Express in the U.S. in 2010, the brand continues to be the primary supporter of the campaign in the UK.

On Small Business Saturday, customers across the UK show their support for all types of small businesses, from independent boutiques and eateries to small service and B2B businesses like wholesalers and digital marketers. Many small businesses actively promote the day by hosting events and offering promotions.

Since its inception in the UK, the campaign has engaged millions of people annually and has seen billions of pounds spent with small businesses across the country on Small Business Saturday.

The impact of Small Business Saturday extends beyond the day itself, with significant attention garnered throughout the year. Last year, the campaign trended as the number one topic in the UK on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), with public figures like the Prime Minister and the Mayor of London endorsing the campaign. Over 90% of local councils also supported the initiative.
